UNINTERESTING THINGS ABOUT ME:

MY BACKGROUND

For whoever wonders even though it truly doesn't matter I can't help but to give in to the craving someone out there may have because I know I would. Who is writing these definitely weird personal movie reviews? Or great personal movie reviews haha. I am a 26-year-old from Sacramento, California who has been living in San Diego for the past couple of years. I've grown up in awe of the movie-going experience and movies in general. The feelings they give me have been clear to me since I began to feel consciousness. Going with my parents and 2 sisters was a treat and some of my fondest memories. Movies and Music I could not live without. But movies always felt different to me like another world I could go into and every single movie was different. Well mostly different unless it's like Star Wars the Force Awakens or the 3rd remake of fucking Willy Wonka. Anyway, I fell in love with Star Wars at a young age (yes the prequels) love Westerns, love gangster movies when my parents thought I was of age, and watched Space Jam way too many times. The prequels I watched so many times I can still pretty much quote the movies word for word. Sad, yes, I am accepting of my faults as I know they are not the best movies but I love them so much. My first movie theater memory is seeing ROS in theaters which I always say is when I gained conciseness haha. 2006 is not a bad year to start...The Departed came out that year, as did Dead Mans Chest, Casino Royale, 300, and The Prestige to name a few. Of course, I was too young to see those then but man when I did they were all very memorable. Just some of my fondest memories come from thinking about a certain movie. Of course, all the Harry Potters as I finished the last book right before going to see the last movie. I remember seeing the Toy Story with Forky which made me and 3 of my friends laugh way too hard when no one else in the theater was laughing at any of the parts we were. I remember me and 3 of my friends being 4 of the 6 people who saw the first GrownUps movie at midnight release. My dad scared the shit out of me at like 8 years old and put on Signs with Mel Gibson and Joaquin Phoenix (that movie is btw) then had to watch BIG with Hanks to make the scary thoughts go away. I remember having to wait in very long lines to see midnight releases like Deadpool and of course any Christopher Nolan movie. My memory is quite cloudy but I remember a couple of movies we went to see out on a limb that really made me expand my movie-watching pool and also is why I never watch trailers anymore. Logan was one of them, Logan Lucky as well, and man what a fun movie. I also randomly saw The Gentlemen by Guy Ritchie with my mom which also surprised me. But one of the biggest surprises as of late that I can remember was seeing Parasite in the Old Tower Theatre in Sacramento with a friend.....just wow. It changes the whole experience. To the first 2 movies I cried in I remember being Up and Coco, fucking Disney man.....also cried on a plane when watching Beautiful Boy and I'm not even a Timothee fan but I appreciate a fucking well-done movie and Steve Caroll was so damn good in that. Well, I should probably stop here and I'll end it with my recent watches and movie-going experiences. Theater viewing isn't the same which sucks but Oppenheimer and Barbie are great movies js and I'm excited for 2024. More of those in depth later :) Email me if you want any other questions answered!!
